I am a veteran of the United States Navy where I served 8 years on active duty as a Hospital Corpsman and an Advanced Medical Laboratory Technician. After my military service, I started my career in education as a substitute teacher (4 years). I went on to alternatively certify as an elementary teacher for Oklahoma City Public Schools and Shawnee Public Schools where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade for 5 years. I earned my Masters degree in Elementary Education specializing in Education, Curriculum, Administration and Supervision at the University of Oklahoma (Norman)in 2011 and my heart was set on becoming a principal.
In an effort to pursue my career goals, my daughter and I relocated to Grand Prairie, Texas in 2013. I accepted a 2nd grade teaching position at ROE and I have been here ever since. This is my second year as sssistant principal and my tenth year in education. I absolutely love my campus and my job. I am super excited about this year! I look forward to serving the students, parents, staff and community of Red Oak Elementary --it's going to be a great year! Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance.
