Special Education records for 2012-2013 to be destroyed

The Texas Education Agency requires that school districts maintain Special Education eligibility folders on previous students for a period of five years after the student either graduates or no longer qualifies for Special Education Services.

The Red Oak Independent School District Special Education Office will begin destroying records/folders on June 7, 2018 for the 2012-2013 school year. If any former student or parent of a former student would like to obtain information, they should call the Special Education Office at 972-617-5895.
