2018 Best Community for Music Education
Red Oak ISD has been named a 2018 "Best Community for Music Education" by the NAMM Foundation! This marks the fifth time ROISD has been honored with this distinction!
The Best Communities Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. Districts that have been recognized by the NAMM Foundation are often held up as models for other educators looking to boost their own music education programs.
“Research has shown that a strong music education background impacts a student academically, socially and in the areas of confidence and adaptability,” said Superintendent Dr. Michael Goddard. “In Red Oak ISD we make our Graduate Profile pervasive in all we do and part of that profile is for our students to be Fair, Respectful and Well Rounded. This is further affirmation that our students, staff and community are doing great things in this area. “
