Meet the Counselor

Thank you for visiting the ROE Counseling Page! My name is Nicole Hoag, and I am honored to join the Red Oak Elementary family as your new school counselor. As I begin this exciting journey in the district, I am committed to continuing the strong foundation of care, support, and guidance that has been established here.

My goal is to partner with you, your child, and their teacher to ensure a successful and enriching school year. Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow both academically and personally. I will be visiting classrooms approximately every 4-6 weeks to deliver age-appropriate guidance lessons focused on important life skills such as respect, kindness, friendship, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, personal safety, and character development.

Counseling Program Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive counseling program that addresses the academic and personal/social development needs of all students. Because we expect all students to be productive members of the school community, the counseling program will identify and remove barriers to learning—helping every child soar to new heights!
